Our dream - to change the way students learn.
Our story all began with a flash mob. What followed was discovering the power of creativity and technology to empower students.
The “M” in M Project stands for Malkuta, an Aramaic word that translates as “empowerment from within.” We believe everyone has a creative spark within them, and that creative spark can be harnessed in a positive way to make the world the way it could be, not currently is. We channel that creative potential through education and empowering students to learn in a different way.
Nate Myers started as a volunteer at his local Boys and Girls Club Teen Center coordinating flash mobs with students. That turned into building a music studio program exposing youth to the digital arts for social change. From there and after various teaching experiences, he began to incorporate design thinking and other technologies into teaching students how to leverage tech ed learning to empower themselves and others.
Nate is an experienced STEM educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. He has taught a variety of students, from a variety of places and socio-economic backgrounds. He has extensive experience having worked with the Boys and Girls Club, Duke TIP, public schools, alternative schools, charter schools, and private schools. He currently develops Tech Labs and teaches a host of STEM courses at Fusion Academy in Raleigh, NC.
His background and experiences give Nate and our company a unique advantage of knowing how to implement design thinking, show competency in the technologies, and provide transformational learning experiences that curate various technologies into a fun and engaging experience for both teachers and students.
